OGDEN, Utah-Monday, Weber State junior tailback Damon Bankston was named the Big Sky Conference’s Co-Offensive Player of the Week.
In the Wildcats’ home opener last Saturday, a 43-16 rout of Portland State, Bankston ran for 133 yards and a pair of scores.
Bankston, in games against Washington and Portland State, has run for 238 yards, ranking him eighth nationally, and first in the Big Sky, at 119 rushing yards per game.
Bankston and his Wildcats teammates return to action Saturday at Lamar of Beaumont, Texas. Bankston, a native of Katy, Texas, is one of 15 Texans on the Weber State roster.
