Friday, Weber State senior kicker Kyle Thompson was named to the Fred Mitchell Outstanding Placekicker Preseason Award Watch List.
This award is annually bestowed upon the top kicker in NCAA FCS, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA and the NJCAA.
Thompson, a former American Fork star out of American Fork, Utah, is the only Utah representative on the watch list.
Thompson has made 48-66 (.727) of his field goal attempts at Weber State and his 284 points rank fourth in school history.
