OGDEN, Utah-Monday, Weber State senior defensive end Kemari Munier-Bailey was named the STATS FCS National Defensive Player of the Week as the Wildcats routed Northwestern State 39-0 last Saturday.
Munier-Bailey posted three sacks and six tackles for a loss in the Wildcats’ rout of the Demons.
The Wildcats had 17 tackles for a loss on the game from Natchitoches, La.
Munier-Bailey, a native of Birmingham, England, ranks third nationally with 2.5 tackles for a loss and is tied for eighth nationally in sacks with 5.
The Wildcats host McNeese Saturday evening at Stewart Stadium in another non-conference tilt.
