OGDEN, Utah-Monday, Weber State head football coach Mickey Mental added former Wildcats standout Keilan Benjamin as the program’s new cornerbacks coach.
Benjamin starred for the Wildcats from 2017-2018 as a cornerback, a span which saw Weber State post a record of 21-7 and win successive Big Sky championships.
Benjamin, a native of Richmond, Calif., earned first-team all-Big Sky Conference honors in 2018, posting 13 pass breakups and 7 interceptions.
Benjamin has previously served as the program’s quality control coach (2022-2024) and served as the Ogden Jets’ defensive coordinator/cornerbacks coach in 2004.
Benjamin is a 2023 graduate of Weber State, earning a degree in communication.
