Wasatch High School

HEBER CITY, Utah-Braxton Faller homered and the No. 10 Wasatch Wasps bested No. 23 Timpview 6-2 in the 5A Regionals Friday. Ketcher Wade earned the win on the mound for the Wasps. Riley Anderson and Ty Wester drove in a run apiece in the loss for the Thunderbirds.

Kearns High School

KEARNS, Utah-Julian Teran drove in five runs and the No. 22 Roy Royals doubled up No. 11 Kearns 12-6 Friday in the 5A Regionals. Parker Skidmore netted six strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Royals. Bostyn Ward, Zack Budge, Bridger Wilde and Traxten Gardner drove in a run apiece in the loss for the Cougars.

Woods Cross High School

WOODS CROSS, Utah-Alex Razee homered and the No. 14 Woods Cross Wildcats overpowered No. 19 Box Elder 10-8 in the 5A Regionals Friday. Sam Soria netted two strikeouts in two innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Woods Cross. Maddox Earnest drove in three runs in the loss for the Bees.

Salem Hills High School

SALEM, Utah-Carter Smith homered and the No. 15 Salem Hills Skyhawks edged No. 18 Bountiful 4-3 in the 5A Regionals Friday. Trig Richards netted 11 strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Skyhawks. Graham Fuller drove in a run in the loss for the RedHawks.

PAYSON, Utah-Cole Neves homered and the No. 9 Payson Lions smoked No. 24 Hillcrest 11-1 Friday in the 5A Regionals. Brigzen Houser posted 10 strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Lions. Boston Carrell drove in a run in defeat for the Huskies.

Clearfield High School

CLEARFIELD, Utah-Kasen Torres homered and the No. 17 Springville Red Devils got past No. 16 Clearfield 9-7 in the 5A Regionals Friday. Luke Neilson netted two strikeouts in two innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Red Devils. Chase Marriott drove in three runs in the loss for the Falcons.

Taylorsville High School

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah-Xaidan Butcher drove in two runs and the No. 21 Skyline Eagles got past No. 12 Taylorsville 4-3 Friday in the 5A Regionals. Andrew Johnson netted six strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Eagles. Colton Romney drove in two runs in the loss for the Warriors.

Olympus High School 

HOLLADAY, Utah-Torben Van Boerum drove in three runs and the No. 13 Olympus Titans bested No. 20 Brighton 9-6 in the 5A Regionals Friday. Nate Jones posted four strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Titans. Bubba Ellis and Colten Harding drove in two runs apiece in the loss for the Bengals.

HEBER CITY, Utah-David Baeza, Redwaan Kohistani and Aiden Vargas each scored and the No. 22 West Panthers upset No. 11 Wasatch 3-2 in the first round of the 5A boys soccer state playoffs.
