EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah-Joseph Bradley threw a 30-yard touchdown pass to Mack Kelson and Ben Brand and James Anderson each ran for scores as the Wasatch Wasps bested Cedar Valley 27-17 Thursday in Region 7 football play. Landon Johnson threw a pair of touchdown passes and Brayden Jakins made a 35-yard field goal in the loss for the Aviators.

SALT LAKE CITY-Marley Blaylock scored twice and the No. 10 East Leopards routed No. 23 West 6-1 in the first round of the 5A girls soccer tournament Thursday. Jasmine Cortez Calderon, Anna Tuft, Delaney Snow and Addison Feldman also scored in the win for the Leopards. East next visits No. 7 Wasatch Tuesday at 4:00 pm in the second round of the state tournament.
PROVO, Utah-Alora Taylor, Ellie Robertson and Claire Badger each scored and the No. 16 Timpview Thunderbirds edged No. 17 Woods Cross 3-2 Thursday in the first round of the 5A girls soccer tournament. Nixon Milliron and Bailey Brown scored in the loss for the Wildcats. Timpview next visits No. 1 Olympus Tuesday in the second round of the state tournament at 4:00 pm.
MAGNA, Utah-Jessica Aguirre found the net and the No. 9 Cyprus Pirates edged No. 24 Granger 1-0 in the first round of the 5A girls soccer tournament Thursday. Viu Hosea recorded the shutout in the net in victory for the Pirates. Cyprus next visits No. 8 Clearfield Thursday at 4:00 pm in the second round of the state tournament.
SANDY, Utah-India Pahnke scored twice and Belle Tesch also found the net as the No. 15 Alta Hawks edged No. 18 Box Elder 3-2 in the first round of the 5A girls soccer tournament Thursday. Halli Wright and Marley Barber scored in the loss for the Bees. Alta next visits No. 2 Brighton Tuesday at 4:00 pm in the second round of the state tournament.
WASHINGTON TERRACE, Utah-Liliana Amarillo scored twice and the No. 11 Bonneville Lakers doubled up No. 22 Highland 2-1 Thursday in the first round of the 5A girls soccer tournament. Sareya Horejs scored in the loss for the Rams. Bonneville next visits No. 6 Northridge Tuesday at 4:00 pm in the second round of the state tournament.
BOUNTIFUL, Utah-Chelsey Hughes scored and the No. 20 Salem Hills Skyhawks outlasted No. 13 Viewmont 1 (4) – 1 (3) in extra time in the first round of the 5A girls soccer tournament Thursday. Alauna Titensor scored in the loss for the Vikings. Salem Hills next visits No. 4 Bountiful Tuesday at 4:00 pm in the second round of the state tournament.
