HEBER CITY, Utah-Mahala Spederon netted 29 points and the Wasatch Wasps overpowered Maple Mountain 71-60 in Region 7 girls basketball play Tuesday at The Nest. Leah Bailey’s 27 points led the Golden Eagles in the loss.
In other Heber Valley high school news, the name of the new high school on the west side of Heber City, will be Deer Creek High School. The school’s athletic teams will be known as the “Riverhawks.”
