Wasatch High BYU Commit Matthias Dunn Honored At Prestigious Meeting Wednesday

OREM, Utah-Wednesday, Wasatch High School senior Matthias Dunn was honored by the Utah Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame at Utah Valley University.

Dunn, who has committed to attend Brigham Young University after he graduates in May, will compete for the kicking position for the Cougars as he signed a national letter of intent to play at BYU in February.

Dunn confirmed he is roughly one week-10 days away from receiving his mission call from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He stated his plan is to tell Cougars coaches he will leave between August-October 2019 on his mission.

He then plans to enroll at BYU in January 2022 and prepare himself to compete for the starting kicking job in the 2022 football season.

Dunn was among 40 athletes to be honored at this prestigious event.

Dunn was honored with this award by virtue of his outstanding academic achievement, outstanding football ability, performance and attitude and an outstanding ability to demonstrate leadership, excellent citizenship and community service.
