Monday, Utah Tech senior punter Andy Day was named as the United Athletic Conference Football Specialist of the week.
The former Snow Canyon High School star out of St. George, Utah, punted 10 times for 468 yards in the Trailblazers’ 31-7 loss to Montana State.
His net punting yardage is the second-most in program history in the NCAA era.
Day and his Utah Tech teammates next commence a six-game road trip with a game at UNLV Saturday.
