Utah Tech Athletics To Honor Greg Croshaw For Saturday’s Football Homecoming Game

ST. GEORGE, Utah-In news this week, Utah Tech athletics confirmed Hall of Fame football coach Greg Croshaw will be honored during Homecoming.

This will start with an Open House Saturday at the Utah Tech Alumni House, just west of Greater Zion Stadium from 4:00-5:30 pm ahead of the Homecoming game against Southern Utah later that evening.

From 1982-2005, Croshaw posted a record of 214-56-1 (.791) and won 10 or more games in 12 of those seasons, going 11-1 five times.

Croshaw was an eight-time WSFL Coach of the Year and the Utah Collegiate Coach of the Year in 1986, 1987, 1989, 1995 and 1996.

Croshaw has coached many talented tailbacks and Dixie State featured the national rushing leader nine times.

Among those whom he has coached are former University of Washington/Cincinnati Bengals/New England Patriots tailback Corey Dillon and Archie Amerson who later starred at Northern Arizona and in the Canadian Football League with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Toronto Argonauts.

Croshaw is a 2011 inductee into the Utah Tech Athletics Hall of Fame and into the NJCAA Hall of Fame as of 2022.

This past June, Croshaw was one of 200 coaches presented with the inaugural  NJCAA Coaches Legacy Awards. He was one of six head football coaches nationally, and the only Utah junior college head coach, on the NJCAA’s inaugural year awards list.
