Pacific Coast League

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.-Taylor Ward, Jose Rojas and Josh Thole each homered as the Salt Lake Bees won the first game of a Saturday doubleheader 8-4 at Isotopes Park in Pacific Coast League baseball action.

Justin Bour and Jarrett Parker also added RBI in victory for the Bees, as they improved to 46-59. Alex Klonowski earned the win on the mound for the Bees, getting his first victory against five losses.

Brian Mundell homered and doubled in the loss for the Isotopes, as they fell to 45-60.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.-Nick Franklin’s grand slam in the top of the 4th Inning helped the Salt Lake Bees overcome a 5-0 deficit and earn an 8-7 win over Albuquerque Saturday at Isotopes Park as they completed a doubleheader sweep of the Isotopes in Pacific Coast League baseball action. Kaleb Cowart and Jose Rojas also added RBI in the win for the Bees, as they improved to 47-59. Parker Bridwell improved to 6-4 on the season with the win.

Roberto Ramos homered in the loss for the Isotopes, as they fell to 45-61.

Pioneer League

OGDEN, Utah-Sam McWilliams homered and the Ogden Raptors exploded for 14 runs in a 14-1 rout of Orem Saturday at Lindquist Field in Pioneer League baseball action.

Other RBI for the Raptors came from Ryan Ward, Brandon Wulff, Cesar Mendoza and Andy Pages as the Raptors improved to 33-7 and are winners of 19 of their last 20 games. Antonio Hernandez improved to 2-0 on the mound for the Raptors as he earned the win.

The Owlz’ only run came in the top of the 9th Inning when Ogden reliever Hunter Speer had a wiild pitch and Will Wilson came in for the score. Orem dropped to 13-27 with the loss.
