SALT LAKE CITY-Thursday, Utah football senior linebacker Karene Reid was named as a semifinalist for the Campbell Trophy. This award is annually presented to the premier scholar-athlete in college football (NCAA Divisions I, II and III and the NAIA).
Reid, a former Timpview High School star out of American Fork, Utah, presently has 8 combined tackles and a fumbled return on the season for the 4-0 Utes who host Arizona Saturday evening at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
