Utah Football Schedule Announced, Nine Utes Make All Pac-12 1st Team

SALT LAKE CITY-Tuesday, the Pac-12 Conference announced football schedules for all member schools for 2019, including the University of Utah.

The Utes will have seven home games, starting September 7 against Northern Illinois and the regular season finale will be a home game against Colorado November 30.

The season commences Thursday August 29 at Provo against BYU and the conference opener is September 20 at USC. Homecoming is September 28 against Washington State and the Utes will have byes on October 5 and November 9.

The Pac-12 title game is slated for December 6.

Additionally, the Pac-12 announced its all-conference teams with Utah netting nine players on the first team.

This group was headlined by punter Mitch Wishnowsky, (the only three-time first team honoree) and kicker Matt Gay, who repeated as a first-team selection.

Other first team honorees included sophomore returner Britain Covey, senior offensive linemen Jackson Barton and Jordan Agasiva, senior linebacker Chase Hansen, junior defensive end Bradlee Anae, junior defensive tackle Leki Fotu and sophomore defensive back Jaylon Johnson.

Making the second team for the Utes were junior defensive tackle John Penisini, junior defensive back Julian Blackmon, senior defensive back Marquise Blair and junior running back Zack Moss.

Those earning honorable mention from the Pac-12 were senior linebacker Cody Barton, senior defensive back Corrion Ballard, sophomore defensive back Javelin K. Guidry and senior offensive lineman Lo Falemaka.

The Utes conclude their season December 31 at the Holiday Bowl against Northwestern of the Big Ten Conference.
