SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah baseball team begins Pac-12 play this week with a three-game series against USC beginning on Thursday, March 15.
All three games of the series will be televised on the Pac-12 Networks.
Game one of the series begins at 6:00 p.m. PT/7:00 p.m. MT on Thursday evening with game two on Friday at 7:00 p.m. PT/8:00 p.m. MT. Game three of the series kicks off on Saturday, March 17, at 2:00 p.m. PT/3:00 p.m. MT.
Utah (1-14) leads the Pac-12 in stolen bases and ranks fifth in the league in hits (136). Ute pitchers have allowed just six home runs, which is tied for the fourth least in the league. Utah is also tied for the league lead with four pickoffs. The Utes rank fourth in the league in fielding percentage (.975).
Chandler Anderson and Oliver Dunn are tied for the league lead with five stolen bases each. Tanner Thomas is tied for second in the Pac-12 with 27 strikeouts while Brett Brocoff is tied for fifth in the league with 25 K’s. Brocoff is second in the league with 11.84 strikeouts per nine innings.
USC is 9-4 going into Pac-12 play. Recently, the Trojans beat UCLA and fell to TCU.
