USU Quarterback Bryson Barnes Receives Recognition Monday

LOGAN, Utah-Monday, former Milford High School star quarterback, Utah State junior Bryson Barnes was named the Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his contributions to the Aggies’ 41-20 win over San Diego State.

Barnes, after coming off the bench in the 2nd Quarter, completed 13 of 15 passes for 139 yards and three scores while running for 193 yards on 15 carries (12.9 yards per carry) and another score.

When Barnes came into the game, the Aggies trailed 10-0 and scored the game’s next 41 points.

Barnes was also named to the Davey O’Brien Award’s Great 8 and as a Manning Award Star of the Week for his contributions to the win against the Aztecs.

Barnes and his Utah State teammates conclude their season Friday at Colorado State.
