USU Men’s Basketball To Face South Florida On A Neutral Court

LOGAN, Utah-Late Monday, Utah State men’s basketball announced an additional neutral site game to its 2019-20 non-conference schedule as the Aggies will face South Florida December 18 at Toyota Center in Houston, the home of the NBA’s Houston Rockets.

This game is part of the inaugural Battleground 2k19. This three-game slate also features Baylor, Texas-San Antonio, Oregon State and Tennessee Martin.

The Aggies lead the Bulls 1-0 all-time, having previously beaten them 69-66 at the Top of the World Classic at Fairbanks, Alaska during the 2000-01 basketball season.

The Bulls are coming off of a 24-14 campaign which saw them win the College Basketball Invitational title.

South Florida returns all four of their leading scorers last season. This quadrant consists of junior guard David Collins (15.9 ppg), senior guard LaQuincy Rideau (13.4 ppg), sophomore forward Alexis Yetna (12.3 ppg) and junior wing Justin Brown (8.3 ppg).

Yetna also amassed a team-best 9.6 rebounds per game last season and Rideau bolstered the Bulls with a team-best 5.4 assists per contest in 2018-19.
