Tyson Clyde of Wasatch High School Golf Competes at 5-A State Golf Tournament

MIDWAY, Utah-As the only competitor representing Wasatch High School on his home course, Wasps’ boys golf standout, sophomore Tyson Clyde placed 101st overall as competition wrapped up at the 5-A State Golf Tournament at the Wasatch Mountain Golf Course-Lakes Tuesday.

Clyde missed the cutoff for championship round competition as he scored an 80 Monday during the first day of competition. He followed this up by shooting an 82 Tuesday for an aggregate score of 162.

The overall individual state title was won by Skyline sophomore Tyson Shelley who amassed an aggregate score of 147, shooting a 72 Monday and a 75 Tuesday.

Shelley’s excellence netted the Eagles the 5-A team title as well.
