CEDAR CITY, Utah-Monday, Southern Utah men’s basketball freshman guard Elijah Duval earned the WAC Newcomer Week of the Award for his performance in the Thunderbirds’ losses to Utah Valley and California Baptist.
In the games against the Wolverines and Lancers, Duval, a native of Wilmington, Del., averaged 25 points and shot 66 percent from the floor.
On the season for the Thunderbirds, Duval averaged 15.2 points and 4 rebounds per game.
