SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-Chad Stevens and J.D. Davis homered and the Salt Lake Bees downed Omaha 6-4 Wednesday at The Ballpark at America First Square in Pacific Coast League play. Victor Mederos netted four strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees. Cam Devanney homered in the loss for the Storm Chasers. The Bees, winners of five of their last six, improved to 20-26 in the win while Omaha fell to 19-26. The squads return to action Thursday at 6:35 pm at The Ballpark at America First Square for the third game of the series.
Pioneer League
OAKLAND, Calif.-Carter Mize homered and the Ogden Raptors downed Oakland 12-5, earning their first win of the season at Raimondi Park in Pioneer League play Wednesday. Shane Gustafson netted two strikeouts in two innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Raptors. Davis Drewek homered in the loss for the Ballers. Game 3 in the series is slated for Thursday at 7:35 pm at Raimondi Park.
