SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-Shay Whitcomb and Luis Castro homered and the Sugar Land Space Cowboys took five of six from the Bees during this now-concluded series with a 10-4 win over Salt Lake Sunday at The Ballpark at America First Square.
Misael Tamarez netted three strikeouts in 2.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Space Cowboys.
Ryan Noda and Sebastián Rivero homered in the loss for the Bees, who fell to 15-23 in losing their fifth straight.
Conversely, the Space Cowboys, winners of five straight, improved to 21-18 following Sunday’s results.
The Bees return to action Tuesday at Sacramento for a six-game series against the River Cats.
