SUGAR LAND, Texas-Grae Kessinger homered and the Sugar Land Space Cowboys pummeled Salt Lake 10-1 Friday at Constellation Field.

Ronel Blanco posted nine strikeouts in 5.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Space Cowboys.

Blanco improved to 2-0 on the season for Sugar Land.

Taylor Jones homered in the loss for the Bees.

Sugar Land improved to 21-27 on the season while Salt Lake fell to 21-28.

The Bees and Space Cowboys return to action Saturday at 5:05 pm at Constellation Field.

Pioneer League

OGDEN, Utah-Jaylen Smith posted four strikeouts in two innings of work and the Grand Junction Jackalopes defeated Ogden 3-0 Friday at Lindquist Field. This was the Raptors’ first loss of the season, as they fell to 3-1. Conversely, Grand Junction won their first game of the season, improving to 1-3.

The Jackalopes and Raptors return to action Saturday at Lindquist Field at 6:30 pm.
