SUGAR LAND, Texas-Jacob Melton and Pedro León each homered and the Sugar Land Space Cowboys clinched a series win over Salt Lake with a 10-1 victory over the Bees Friday at Constellation Field in Pacific Coast League play.
Logan VanWey posted three strikeouts in 2.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Space Cowboys.
Cole Tucker drove in a run in defeat for the Bees.
Following Friday’s results, the Space Cowboys improved to 81-48 while the Bees fell to 60-69.
The squads return to action Saturday at 6:05 pm at Constellation Field for the fifth game of the series.
