SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-Carlos Pérez and Jax Biggers homered and the Sugar Land Space Cowboys doubled up Salt Lake 12-6 Friday in Pacific Coast League play at The Ballpark at America First Square. Sam Carlson posted two strikeouts in two innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Space Cowboys. Niko Kavadas drove in two runs for the Bees in the loss.
Following Friday’s results, the Space Cowboys improved to 11-7 on the season and the Bees fell to 7-11.
The squads will play a doubleheader Saturday at The Ballpark at America First Square to make up for the postponement of Thursday’s game because of inclement weather.
Opening pitch for the first game is slated at 4:05 pm.
