Sitake Named To Bear Bryant Coach of The Year Award Watch List Wednesday

HOUSTON, Wednesday, BYU football head coach Kalani Sitake was named to the Bear Bryant Coach of the Year Award Midseason Watch List.

Sitake, who has led the No. 13 Cougars to a 6-0 start, is one of 27 coaches throughout NCAA FBS college football to receive this distinction.

Sitake was also named the Big 12’s Midseason Coach of the Year Wednesday.

Sitake has led BYU to a 67-41 (.620) record since taking over the reins of the program prior to the 2016 season.

The Bryant Award will be announced January 22, 2025 at the Post Oak Hotel of Houston.

Sitake and the Cougars return to action Friday evening by hosting Oklahoma State at LaVell Edwards Stadium.
