RiverCats Get Past Bees Tuesday in Independence Day Tilt

SALT LAKE CITY-Joey Bart homered and Ford Proctor added an RBI double in the 9th Inning as the Sacramento RiverCats bested Salt Lake 9-7 Tuesday at Smith’s Ballpark in an Independence Day matchup.

Nick Avila posted three strikeouts in 1.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Sacramento. Avila improved to 11-0 on the season for the RiverCats.

Jordyn Adams and Zach Humphreys each drove in a pair of runs in defeat for the Bees.

Sacramento improved to 38-43 while the Bees fell to 40-41.

Salt Lake and Sacramento return to action Wednesday at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark.

Pioneer League

KALISPELL, Mont.-Jackson Raper and Kingston Liniak each drove in a run and the Glacier Range Riders doubled up the Salt Lake Bees 2-1 Tuesday at Glacier Range Field.

Juan Teixeira drove in a run in the loss for the Raptors.

Glacier improved to 22-14 on the season while the Raptors fell to 23-14.

The Range Riders and Raptors return to action Wednesday at 7:05 pm at Glacier Range Field.
