SALT LAKE CITY-Blake Sabol homered and the Sacramento River Cats secured a series split against Salt Lake with a 7-5 win over the Bees, concluding their series Sunday at Smith’s Ballpark in Pacific Coast League play.
Clay Helvey posted two strikeouts in two innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the River Cats.
Tucker Flint homered in defeat for the Bees.
Following Sunday’s results, the River Cats improved to 74-64 and the Bees fell to 64-73.
The Bees return to action Tuesday at 6:35 pm for a six-game series at El Paso against the Chihuahuas.
