SALT LAKE CITY-Wade Meckler homered and the Sacramento River Cats tripped up Salt Lake 8-2 Saturday at Smith’s Ballpark in Pacific Coast League play.
Kai-Wei Teng recorded a strikeout in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Sacramento.
Shane Matheny and Cole Tucker drove in a run apiece in the loss for the Bees.
Following Saturday’s results, the River Cats improved to 73-64 while the Bees fell to 64-72.
The squads return to action Sunday at 1:05 pm to conclude the series at Smith’s Ballpark.
