TACOMA, Wash.-Tyler Locklear homered and the Tacoma Rainiers beat Salt Lake for the ninth consecutive time with a 12-7 victory over the Bees Thursday at Cheney Stadium.
Blas Castaño netted seven strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Rainiers.
Scott Kingery drove in three runs in defeat for the Bees. Following Thursday’s results, the Rainiers improved to 43-41 and the Bees slumped to 32-51.
The squads return to action Friday at 7:05 pm but the scene shifts to The Ballpark at America First Square for this weekend’s games.
There will be a fireworks display following the game at the stadium to commemorate Independence Day.
