Pacific Coast League

ROUND ROCK, Texas-Josh Lowe homered and the Salt Lake Bees overpowered Round Rock 8-6 Sunday to secure a series split against the Express at Dell Diamond.

George Klassen netted six strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees.

Cody Freeman and Cooper Johnson homered in the loss for the Express.

Following Sunday’s results, the Bees, who have not lost the last three series, improved to 28-28 while the Express fell to 23-34.

The Bees return to action Tuesday at home for a six-game series against Albuquerque. Opening pitch against the Isotopes is slated for 6:35 pm at The Ballpark at America First Square.

Pioneer League

OGDEN, Utah-Giuseppe Ferraro-Nahr homered and the Ogden Raptors overpowered Missoula 17-10 Sunday at Lindquist Field to conclude the series on a high note.

Nico Saltaformaggio recorded seven strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Ogden.

Michael Koszewski, Nich Klemp and Jeremy Piatkiewicz drove in two runs apiece in the loss for the PaddleHeads.

Following Sunday’s results, the Raptors improved to 4-8 and the PaddleHeads fell to 7-5.

The Raptors return to action Tuesday at Idaho Falls for a six-game series at Melaleuca Field against the Chukars. Opening pitch is slated for 7:05 pm.
