SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-Donovan Walton drove in three runs and the Salt Lake Bees overpowered Tacoma 7-5 Tuesday in Pacific Coast League play to win their fifth game in their last seven outings at The Ballpark at America First Square.

Shaun Anderson posted four strikeouts in five innings of play to earn the win on the mound for the Bees.

Victor Robles and Ryan Bliss drove in two runs apiece in defeat for the Rainiers.

Following Tuesday’s results, the Bees improved to 21-24 and the Rainiers fell to 22-24.

The squads return to action Wednesday at 6:35 pm at The Ballpark at America First Square.

Pioneer League

BOISE, Idaho-Brandon Nigh homered and the Boise Hawks stonewalled the Ogden Raptors 9-4 Tuesday at Memorial Stadium in the Pioneer League opener for both squads. Cole Jordan homered in defeat for the Raptors. The squads meet again for the second game in the series Wednesday at 7:05 pm at Memorial Stadium.
