SALT LAKE CITY-Alex Freeland, Ryan Ward, Alan Trejo, Drew Avans and James Outman homered and the Oklahoma City Baseball Club pounded Salt Lake 20-6 Wednesday at Smith’s Ballpark in Pacific Coast League play.
Jon Duplantier posted 12 strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Oklahoma City.
Elliot Soto and Shane Matheny drove in three runs apiece in the loss for the Bees.
Following Wednesday’s results, Oklahoma City improved to 76-70 and the Bees fell to 66-79.
The squads return to action Thursday at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark for the third game of the series.
