SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-Niko Kavados homered and the Salt Lake Bees blanked Albuquerque 3-0 in Pacific Coast League play Tuesday at The Ballpark at America First Square in the series opener. Dakota Hudson posted five strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees. Salt Lake improved to 37-59 on the season and Albuquerque fell to 38-57. The squads return to action Wednesday at 7:05 pm for the second game in the series.
Pioneer League
OGDEN, Utah-Connor Bagnieski and Christopher Sargent Jr. homered and the Ogden Raptors downed the Boise Hawks 11-5 Tuesday in Pioneer League play at Lindquist Field. Chase Chatman netted four strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Ogden. Max Jung-Goldberg homered in the loss for the Hawks. Following Tuesday’s results, the Raptors improved to 29-25 and the Hawks fell to 32-23. The squads return to action Wednesday at 6:30 pm at Lindquist Field for the second game in the series.
