SUGAR LAND, Texas-Tommy Sacco Jr. homered and the Sugar Land Space Cowboys downed Salt Lake 3-1 Sunday at Constellation Field in Pacific Coast League play to earn the series sweep against the Bees. Miguel Ullola posted 11 strikeouts in 5.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Space Cowobys. Zach Humphreys drove in a run in the loss for the Bees. Following Sunday’s results, Sugar Land improved to 50-44 on the season while the Bees fell to 36-59. Salt Lake returns to action Tuesday for a six-game homestand against the Albuquerque Isotopes. Opening pitch is slated for 7:05 pm at The Ballpark at America First Square.
Pioneer League
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho-Anthony Mata, Trevor Rogers and Simon Baumgardt homered and the Idaho Falls Chukars edged Ogden 10-9 Sunday at Melaleuca Field to secure the series win over the Raptors in Pioneer League play. Steven Ordorica netted two strikeouts in one inning of work to earn the win on the mound for the Chukars. Connor Bagnieski and Christopher Sargent Jr. homered in the loss for the Raptors. Following Sunday’s results, the Chukars improved to 31-22 and the Raptors fell to 28-25. Ogden returns to action Tuesday by hosting the Boise Hawks for a six-game series. Opening pitch is slated for 6:05 pm at Lindquist Field.
