RENO, Nev.-Tristin English, Andy Weber and A.J. Vukovich each homered and the Reno Aces smacked Salt Lake 10-4 Saturday at Greater Nevada Field in Pacific Coast League play. Dylan Ray netted six strikeouts in 6.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Aces. Matthew Lugo and Tucker Flint homered in defeat for the Bees. Following Saturday’s results, the Aces, who have achieved at least a series split against Salt Lake, improved to 40-40. The Bees fell to 31-48. The final game of the series is Sunday at 2:05 pm at Greater Nevada Field. Reno goes for the series win while Salt Lake seeks a split.
Pioneer League
OGDEN, Utah-Kyler Stancato and Christopher Sargent Jr. homered and the Ogden Raptors outgunned Northern Colorado 19-15 Saturday at Lindquist Field in Pioneer League play. Nik Cardinal’s two strikeouts in 1.1 innings of work earned the win on the mound for the Raptors. Christian Hall homered in the loss for the Owlz. Following Saturday’s results, the Raptors improved to 20-15 while the Owlz fell to 5-29. Ogden goes for the series sweep Sunday at 1:00 pm at Lindquist Field.
