SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-Carter Kieboom, Zach Humphreys, Niko Kavadas, J.D. Davis and Yolmer Sánchez homered and the Salt Lake Bees secured a series split against Sacramento with an 11-1 win over the River Cats Sunday at The Ballpark at America First Square to conclude the series. Brett Kerry posted five strikeouts in 7.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees. Grant McCray drove in a run in the loss for Sacramento. The Bees improved to 29-45 on the season while the River Cats fell to 36-39. The Bees return to action Tuesday at Reno for a six-game series against the Aces. Opening pitch is slated for 7:35 pm.
Pioneer League
IDAHO FALLS, Idaho-Christopher Sargent Jr. homered twice and Connor Bagnieski and Kyler Stancato also homered as the Ogden Raptors blitzed Idaho Falls 21-8 Sunday at Melaleuca Field in Pioneer League play to conclude this week-long series. Chase Chatman netted two strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Raptors. Benjamin Rosengard, Simon Baumgardt and Gabriel Vasquez homered in the loss for the Chukars. Following Sunday’s results, the Raptors, who won the series 4-2, improved to 15-15 while the Chukars fell to 19-10. The Raptors return to action Tuesday at 6:30 pm by hosting the Northern Colorado Owlz at Lindquist Field for a six-game series.
