LAS VEGAS-Nick Martini and Carlos Cortes homered and the Las Vegas Aviators edged Salt Lake 8-7 in Pacific Coast League play Wednesday at Las Vegas Ballpark in Pacific Coast League play. Jack Cushing pitched 0.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Las Vegas. Christian Moore homered in the loss for the Bees. Following Wednesday’s results, the Aviators improved to 40-24 and the Bees fell to 26-38. The squads return to action Thursday for the third game in the series at 8:05 pm at Las Vegas Ballpark.
Pioneer League
OGDEN, Utah-Kyler Stancato drove in three runs and the Ogden Raptors smacked Great Falls 10-1 Wednesday in Pioneer League play at Lindquist Field. Eli Elliott posted seven strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Ogden. Freddy Rojas Jr. drove in a run in the loss for the Voyagers. The squads conclude the series Thursday at 6:30 pm at Lindquist Field.
