LAS VEGAS-Daniel Susac belted a grand slam and the Las Vegas Aviators pulverized Salt Lake 19-3 Tuesday in the series opener against the Bees at Las Vegas Ballpark in Pacific Coast League play. Carlos Cortes and Nick Martini homered as well in victory for the Aviators. Luis Morales posted seven strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Las Vegas. Christian Moore and Gustavo Campero homered in the loss for the Bees. Following Tuesday’s results, the Aviators improved to 39-24 and the Bees stumbled to 26-37. The squads return to action Wednesday at 8:05 pm MDT at Las Vegas Ballpark for the second game in the series.
Pioneer League
OGDEN, Utah-Kyler Stancato, Christopher Sargent Jr. and Dylan Wilkinson each homered and the Ogden Raptors drilled Great Falls 21-1 Tuesday in Pioneer League play at Lindquist Field. Chase Chatman netted five strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Raptors. Sebastian Mueller drove in a run in the loss for the Voyagers. Following Tuesday’s results, the Raptors improved to 9-10 and the Voyagers slumped to 2-17. The squads return to action Wednesday at 6:30 pm at Lindquist Field.
