TACOMA, Wash.-Dominic Canzone, Jacob Nottingham and Rhylan Thomas drove in two runs apiece and the Tacoma Rainiers dismantled Salt Lake 7-2 Friday at Cheney Stadium in Pacific Coast League play. Trent Thornton posted two strikeouts in one inning to earn the win on the mound for the Rainiers. Niko Kavadas homered in the loss for the Bees. Following Friday’s results, the Rainiers, who secured the series win, improved to 25-30 while the Bees, losers of five straight, fell to 23-31. The squads return to action Saturday at 7:05 pm MDT for the fifth game in the series at Cheney Stadium.

Pioneer League

OGDEN, Utah-Connor Bagnieski drove in two runs and the Ogden Raptors outlasted Yuba-Sutter 8-7 Friday at Lindquist Field in Pioneer League play. Nik Cardinal pitched 1.1 innings to earn the win on the mound for the Raptors. Gio Brusa homered in defeat for the High Wheelers. Following Friday’s results, the Raptors, winners of two straight, improved to 5-5 and the High Wheelers slumped to 7-3. The squads return to action Saturday at 6:30 pm at Lindquist Field for the fifth game in the series.
