SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-Jac Caglianone homered twice and the Omaha Storm Chasers downed Salt Lake 5-2 in 10 innings Sunday at The Ballpark at America First Square.
Andrew Hoffman netted two strikeouts in two innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Omaha.
Chad Stevens homered in the loss for the Bees.
Following Sunday’s results, the Storm Chasers, who avoided the sweep, improved to 20-29 on the season while the Bees fell to 23-27.
The Bees return to action Tuesday for a six-game series at Tacoma against the Rainiers. Opening pitch is slated for 7:05 pm at Cheney Stadium.
Pioneer League
OAKLAND, Calif.-Elliot Good posted three RBI and the Ogden Raptors overpowered Oakland 8-2 Sunday at Raimondi Park in Pioneer League play. Miguel Hernandez netted six strikeouts in 5.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Ogden. Lou Helmig and Christian Almanza drove in a run apiece in the loss for the Ballers.
The Raptors return to action Tuesday at 6:30 pm for a six-game home series against the Yuba-Sutter High Wheelers.
