SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-Chad Stevens homered and the Salt Lake Bees bested El Paso 7-3 Wednesday at The Ballpark at America First Square in Pacific Coast League play. Sammy Peralta posted five strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees. Tirso Ornelas and Rodolfo Durán each drove in a run in the loss for the Chihuahuas. Following Wednesday’s game, the Bees improved to 58-75 and the Chihuahuas fell to 71-62 in the loss. The squads return to action Thursday at 7:05 pm at The Ballpark at America First Square in the third game of the series.
Pioneer League
OGDEN, Utah-Cole Jordan homered twice and Damien Stone went yard as well as the Ogden Raptors doubled up Boise 8-4 Wednesday in Pioneer League play at Lindquist Field. Cole Stasio’s four strikeouts in six innings of work earned the win on the mound for Ogden. Noah Marcelo, Cameron Dayton and Ethan Underwood drove in a run apiece in defeat for the Hawks. Following Wednesday’s results, the Raptors improved to 50-41 and the Hawks fell to 46-46. The squads return to action Thursday at 6:30 pm at Lindquist Field for the third game in the series.
