OKLAHOMA CITY-Chad Wallach homered and the Salt Lake Bees edged Oklahoma City 3-2 Saturday in Pacific Coast League play at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Victor Mederos netted six strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees. CJ Alexander homered in defeat for the Comets. Following Saturday’s results, the Bees, who clinched the series win, improved to 43-63. The Comets fell to 64-43 in defeat. The squads conclude the series Sunday at 5:05 pm at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
Pioneer League
OGDEN, Utah-Connor Bagnieski and Elliott Good homered and the Ogden Raptors smoked the Colorado Springs Sky Sox 13-6 Saturday in Pioneer League play at Lindquist Field. Shane Gustafson recorded five strikeouts in six innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Raptors, who earned at least a split in the series. Christian Hall homered in defeat for the Sky Sox. Following Saturday’s results, the Raptors improved to 34-30 and the Sky Sox fell to 17-47. The squads conclude the series Sunday at 1:05 pm at Lindquist Field.
