SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-Niko Kavadas homered and the Salt Lake Bees downed the Albuquerque Isotopes 5-3 Sunday in Pacific Coast League play at The Ballpark at America First Square. Victor Mederos netted five strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees. Kyle Karros homered in the loss for the Isotopes. With the win, Salt Lake secured the split as the Bees improved to 39-62. The Isotopes fell to 41-59 in defeat. The Bees return to action Tueday at 6:05 pm to start a six-game series at Oklahoma City against the Comets.
Pioneer League
OGDEN, Utah-Noah Marcelo and Jeremiah Begora homered and the Boise Hawks overpowered Ogden 11-9 in Pioneer League play Sunday at Lindquist Field. Chaney Trout pitched 0.2 innings to earn the win on the mound for Boise. Christopher Sargent Jr. homered in the loss for the Raptors. With the win, Boise secured a series split. Following Sunday’s results, the Hawks improved to 35-25 and the Raptors fell to 31-28. The Raptors return to action Tuesday by hosting the Colorado Springs Sky Sox for a six-game series at Lindquist Field. Opening pitch is slated for 6:15 pm.
