SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-Matthew Lugo and Tucker Flint homered and the Salt Lake Bees smoked Albuquerque 8-2 Friday in Pacific Coast League play at The Ballpark at Americ First Square. Shaun Anderson netted four strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bees. Braxton Fulford homered in defeat for the Isotopes. Following Friday’s results, the Bees tied the series 2-2 and improved to 38-61 while the Isotopes fell to 40-58. The squads return to action Saturday at 7:05 pm at The Ballpark at America First Square.
Pioneer League
OGDEN, Utah-Noah Marcelo and Taylor Darden homered and the Boise Hawks bested Ogden 9-7 in Pioneer League play Friday at Lindquist Field. Jacob Hughes recorded five strikeouts in 5.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Hawks, who secured their first win of the series. Connor Bagnieski and Kyler Stancato homered in the loss for the Raptors. Following Friday’s results, the Hawks improved to 33-25 while the Raptors fell to 31-26. The squads return to action Saturday at 6:30 pm for th fifth game in the series at Lindquist Field.
