Four Weber State Football Players Named To All-Big Sky Preseason Team

SPOKANE, Wash.-Monday, four Weber State football players were named to the All-Big Sky Conference preseason team during Big Sky Kickoff at Spokane, Wash.

They are as follows:

Senior linebacker Winston Reid (who was named as the Big Sky preseason defensive player of the year Sunday)

Senior offensive lineman Noah Atagi

Senior cornerback Maxwell Anderson

Junior kick returner Abraham Williams

All four of these honored Wildcats were FCS All-Americans and obtained All-Big Sky first team status last season.

Reid posted 68 tackles last season. The durable Atagi played all 13 games for the Wildcats in 2022.

Anderson defensed a Big Sky-best 16 passes last season.

Williams set an FCS record last season by returning four kickoffs for scores last season. Williams averaged 37.4 yards per return in 2022.

Three of these aforementioned Wildcats are also native Utahans.

Reid is from West Jordan and starred at Copper Hills High School while Atagi, a native of South Ogden, Utah, starred at Bonneville High School. Williams, a native of Salt Lake City, is a former West High School star.

Anderson is a native of Hayward, Calif.

The Wildcats open fall camp August 2 and host NCAA Division II foe Central Washington August 31 at Stewart Stadium.
