SALT LAKE CITY-Andrew Knapp and Trevor Hauver homered and the Round Rock Express routed Salt Lake 18-5 Wednesday in Pacific Coast League play at Smith’s Ballpark.
Jack Leiter posted nine strikeouts in 5.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Express.
Jake Marisnick homered in the loss for the Bees.
Following Wednesday’s results, the Express improved to 60-60 while the Bees fell to 58-63.
The squads return to action Thursday at 6:35 pm for the third game in the series at Smith’s Ballpark.
