SALT LAKE CITY-Elier Hernandez homered and the Round Rock Express bested Salt Lake 8-3 Thursday at Smith’s Ballpark.

Daniel Robert posted two strikeouts in 1.1 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Round Rock.

Jake Lamb, Jared Oliva and Zach Humphreys each drove in a run for the Bees in the loss.

Round Rock improved to 34-26 on the season with the win for the Express. The Bees fell to 28-32 in defeat.

The Express and Bees return to action Friday at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark.

Pioneer League

OGDEN, Utah-Logan Williams, Juan Teixeira and Reese Alexiades each homered and the Ogden Raptors pounded the Idaho Falls Chukars 16-1 Thursday at Lindquist Field. Jake Mulholland posted seven strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Raptors. Jordan Myrow drove in a run in the loss for the Chukars. Ogden improved to 9-6 in the win while Idaho Falls fell to 6-9. The Raptors and Chukars return to action Friday at 6:30 pm at Lindquist Field.
