SURPRISE, Ariz.-Brady Janusek homered and the No. 8 Baylor Bears overpowered No. 9 BYU 13-9 Wednesday in the second round of the Big 12 Tournament at Surprise Stadium. Ethan Calder netted eight strikeouts in 4.2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Bears. Ryder Robinson homered in the loss for the Cougars. Thursday, the Bears meet No. 1 Kansas in the Big 12 tournament quarterfinals at Surprise Stadium.

Upper Round 1

MESA, Ariz.-Miller Durham, Finnegan Stewart, Ty Johnsen and Mays Madsen drove in a run apiece and the No. 3 Utah Tech Trailblazers blanked No. 6 UT Arlington 4-0 in the upper first round of the WAC Tournament Wednesday at Hohokam Stadium. Tyler Ray netted three strikeouts in eight innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the Trailblazers. Utah Tech next faces No. 2 Cal Baptist in the upper second round of the WAC Tournament Thursday at 11:00 pm at Hohokam Stadium.
