Monday, BYU and Utah football were each represented on the Chuck Bednarik Award Watch List. This award is annually bestowed upon the most outstanding defensive player in college football.
BYU
redshirt junior linebacker Isaiah Glasker. Last season, Glasker, a native of South Jordan, Utah and a former Bingham High School star, posted 3.5 sacks, seven defensed passes, three interceptions, 14.5 tackles for a loss and a score.
Utah
junior cornerback Smith Snowden. Last season, Snowden, a native of Lehi, Utah and a former Bingham High School star, posted two interceptions and a forced fumble. He also averaged 26.7 yards per kick return for the Utes last season, showcasing his versatility.
Glasker and his BYU teammates start the season August 30 by hosting Portland State. Snowden and his Utah teammates start the season August 30 at UCLA.
