BYU Football Notes: 10/27

PROVO, Utah-As BYU football enters a bye week, the No. 10 Cougars (tied with Miami, Fla.) received honors after their 41-27 win over Iowa State last Saturday, BYU received a pair of honors:

sophomore safety Faletau Satuala was named the Big 12 Conference Defensive Player of the Year posted 10 tackles, including six solo stops and a pick six to help the Cougars overpower the Cyclones.

Additionally, freshman quarterback Bear Bachmeier was named a Manning Award Star of the Week for completing 22-34 passes for 307 yards and two scores in the win over Iowa State.

Satuala, Bachmeier and their BYU teammates return to action November 8 at Texas Tech in what may be a Top 10 matchup as the Big 12 season ensues for both squads.
