BYU Football Announces TV Plans For Five Games

PROVO, Utah-In lean seasons or successful ones, BYU football remains one of the most popular brands in NCAA FBS football.

Therefore, the Cougars will once again have numerous opportunities to appear on national television in the 2018 season as has traditionally been the case.

Thursday, information was released on five games the Cougars will play this season.

September 1, the Cougars commence their season at Tucson, Ariz. against the Pac-12’s Arizona Wildcats and this game will be an 8:45 pm MDT kickoff on ESPN.

The following week, the Cougars continue their Pac-12 preseason schedule at home against the California Golden Bears in their home opener September 8 with an 8:15 pm MDT broadcast to be aired on either ESPN-2 or ESPNU.

The following Saturday, September 15, the Cougars travel to Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wis. to face the Big Ten’s Wisconsin Badgers at 1:30 pm MDT. This will be a broadcast on ABC, ESPN or ESPN-2.

The next weekend, September 22, the Cougars return to Provo to host the McNeese Cowboys of the FCS’s Southland Conference for a 4:00 pm MDT kickoff. This is a national broadcast on BYUTV and is also available on ESPN’s streaming service, ESPN-3.

The October 5 game at Provo against in-state rival Utah State is an ESPN-2 broadcast with kickoff at 7:00 pm MDT.

Presently, six of BYU’s 12 scheduled football games have had television plans announced as the November 3 game at Boise State is expected to be on one of the ESPN networks although it’s not certain where it will air as of yet.
